Got the sprinkler watering the lawn while I write, why did I never get one before, admitedly it waters a bit more then the lawn as no lawn is perfectly round. Still it’s so hot at the moment it’s really needed otherwise what I like to convince myself is a lawn will dry up instantly. Then I will carry on writing as I am filling up the swimming pool and squashing mosquitoes.
The weekend, different at times, Friday night we went over to Olivia’s for a pizza to meet Diane and Stuart, her son and Inger, we stayed longer then was planned.
Saturday we worked a bit then shopped a bit, nothing different there. Then came home to relax again nothing different. That evening was a night market at Pau and Moira had booked a place, she sold some jewellery, to people who bought some before but it’s all money. We left early, at midnight, as by that point nobody was buying anything except beer.
Sunday we had Ian and Dolors and there girls over, they haven’t been here since I left Projardi, for loads of reasons. We also invited Sonya and Max and their girls as well. The pool has never seen as much action. It was really nice every one got on and I believe every one had a nice time. The pool didn’t take much cleaning afterwards, just a bit of filling up. We will definitely keep in better touch with Ian and Dolors, it’s been so long that they didn’t hadn’t heard Moira speak Spanish.

What a day, actually what a weekend. Starting with today, this morning I was lugging heavy stones around and then placing them neatly in a garden in Port deal Selva, alright while the drenalinis running, but I was knackerd afterwards. Got home and had to go and make sure Sues pool was ok as I am looking after it for the summer and it has been a nightmare the last 2 years, this year touch wood alls going well so far. Then home to change the old swimming pool pump for a new one, which has been successfully completed.
Friday night was when the old pump broke down, we had been to Figueres with Lidia and a friend of hers to eat in a vegan restaurant that she recommended. It’s good not to hippy or holier then though, and not too expensive. I was driving so I be a aloevera beer which is ecological and biological and not bad to drink either.
Saturday on discovering the pump had bit the dust, we rushed of to do a garden I was looking after then to the swimming pool shop. The options were get a new one or get the old one fixed, we decided on getting a new one as we had no idea how old the old one was and the cost of the repair was going to be nearly the price of a newer mad economical pump. We then went shopping.
That night Inger invited us all over for loads to eat on her roof terrace. As well as Inger there was Irena, Diane and Stuart and Tina and John, lovely evening.
Sunday after having a swim to move the water around in the pool we went to see Diane and Stuart in the new home, then up to see Pepe in his bar, nothing special just a lazy Sunday, came home to move the swimming pool water around a bit again.
Monday Moira and Inger went to ikea.

Just found the ukulele tabs for moon river, not to difficult, would help if I could sing though.
Bit of a week last week, Tuesady evening Moira had her intercambio with Lydia in the bar across the road. Wednesday evening we went to LLanca for a very good pizza with Paul and Fiona, a couple that used to live in LLanca but now just come here for holidays. Thursday evening was my intercambio with the colombiana and Friday night Isabele and Stewart asked us over for dinner. I sort of look after their garden when they are not here, but seeing as Stewart has now fully retired they will be here a lot more, very good gazpacho.
Saturday night we went to Can Batlle with Tina John Irena and Inga, but this was after a morning of work then to Empuria brava market to be talked French too, and in the afternoon a bit of gardening in my own garden. Can Batlle was fun, good food as usual, another very good gazpacho and very funny people. Our table was the first to arrive and pretty much the last to leave.
Sunday we went on holiday to the beach with Cerrie and Sonny, met up with a couple from the village and their kids and also saw the Phillip stark designer boat, owned by a Russian billionaire. Came home with a burnt back.

Nearly forgot. It’s to hot to think, also have just been eaten alive by mosquitos while tying in the Polly tomatoes.
To be honest the weekend wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, as usual we went up to Pepes on Friday night Irena and Inger where there as well which made things a bit different and I had mushroom croquets rather then Pepes lasagna that has no lasagna in it.
Saturday morning I worked a bit then did very little else, tried to pretend I was on holiday in my own garden, we stayed in that night.
Sunday we went to the beach and stayed on it longer then normal due to me wanting to finish a book, we are both now slightly burnt to a crisp. Not a problem though as we will not be sun bathing again for a while. Summer really has arrived finally.
